Pinnacle acquires Sicon’s Sage Business

Pinnacle, who is recognised as a leading provider of Sage Accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, has expanded with the acquisition of Sicon Ltd’s Sage 200 business for an undisclosed sum. The expansion further strengthens Pinnacle’s presence in England, which already operates from 8 offices, by adding over 150 Sage customers to an already rapidly growing number of customers which is now in excess of 1,000. Pinnacle employs over 100 staff.
James Spencer, Managing Director of Pinnacle, said the acquisition underscores its vision of providing world class business management software solutions locally, while it continues to seek further acquisitions as part of the company’s growth strategy.

Sicon is a Suffolk based software company who have specialised in designing innovative additions and solutions for Sage 200 and Sage 50 for business and local government. Established 18 years ago by duo Jane and Richard Youngman, Sicon will now focus on developing its bespoke software portfolio of products to the Sage market.

“During the last few years Sicon has seen significant growth in its Sage 200 add-on products business. These include solutions that handle purchase requisitions, document management, fixed assets, timesheets, hire, service and construction to name a few of the areas we work in.
As a result of this success we felt this was where we want to focus our growth and made the strategic decision to step away from selling Sage 200.
We felt it was very important that we partner with a customer service focused business such as Pinnacle who have a range of expertise to satisfy our customer demands.
Sicon already has a strong working relationship with Pinnacle and many clients within their existing Sage 200 customer base are using Sicon add-on modules giving them a good understanding and experience of implementing and supporting the Sicon modules in addition to the main Sage 200 and CRM products.
