Leading UK distributor Penlaw chooses Pinnacle for support because time is money.

Penlaw, the UK's #1 independent distributor of drywall and associated products is building its business on an IT infrastructure maintained and supported by IT services provider Pinnacle.

Penlaw’s reliance on its IT infrastructure makes professional support essential. Systems Manager Roland Alexander says: “Our Sage 1000 business management system supports virtually every business function. Our depots absolutely depend on it, so every minute that our infrastructure is out of action means lost business and lost revenue, both for Penlaw and for our customers, who depend on ready access to our products. Time is money! That’s why we would never cut corners on support.”

Twelve years ago the company’s first Sage system supported just two depots. Today there are seven depots and over sixty users of Sage 1000 in functions ranging from sales to accounting to ordering stock. Pinnacle has also supplied, installed and supported security products to safeguard the company’s business systems, as well as supplying and supporting Microsoft Office 365.

Pinnacle has also supported business initiatives such as reducing reliance on paper-based processes to minimise costs and improve customer service.

Roland Alexander says: “With 43 trucks on the road making twice-daily deliveries to customer sites throughout the working week, we produce huge numbers of delivery notes. Imagine the paper that generates! The integration of document-scanning software into our Sage 1000 system for proof of delivery and purchase invoices gives us ready access to information. Rather than trawling through filing-cabinets, we can respond quickly and efficiently to customer queries.”
