Sage 200 Upgrades Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Sage 200 Upgrades Project Manager who is process-driven and passionate about continuous improvement. You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality consultancy services that enhance the customer experience - ensuring it is always evolving and improving.

As part of the wider Professional Services division, this role is responsible for delivering application consultancy across a range of sectors including finance, manufacturing, construction, and distribution. You’ll also support in-life projects for existing customers, working on third-party solutions, systems integration, and software development.

Reporting to the Head of Sage 200 in our professional services division, this is a full time role.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

• Liaise with the customer account management team to be clear on the solution when variations occur
• Work with department project leads to ensure smooth project delivery
• Arrange and hold the project kick-off
• Explain & follow the delivery methodology
• Create and share the project plan, including appropriate phases
• Share installation prerequisites / arrange installation
• Plan resources to meet the delivery plan within budget
• Maintain the internal project record during the life cycle of the project
• Work with 3^rd parties to coordinate their installations with the upgrade project
• Manage the UAT phase and coordinate resource
• Arrange out of hours live-cover if needed, as project scale or complexity demands
• Establish post-go live review / close out call
• Ensure effective customer support handover

Project Controls

• Provide clarity on project scope
• Understanding customer resource constraints and adapting
• Controlling the project budgets, as project scale or complexity demands
• Written plan acceptance, phase completion and project sign-off controls
• Advice and guidance on the UAT phase
• Capture exceptions and manage
• Written project updates, checkpoint calls as required, as project scale or complexity demands
• Go/no-go on live controls, as project scale or complexity demands
• Managing project scope variances and commercial / planning implications, as project scale or complexity demands
• Customer responsibilities and actions
• Project exceptions
• Project risks established at kick-off, with documented solutions, as project scale or complexity demands
• All plans / written project updates, as project scale or complexity demands
• Internal status updates

• Project Management expertise
• ERP knowledge desirable ideally with Sage 200
• Familiarity with core ERP functions
• Relevant business process knowledge for ERP systems
• Stakeholder management – ability to manage organisational change during project life cycle
• A proven track record of managing multiple projects
• Understanding business processes and how ERP systems support organisational goals
• Excellent communication skills

Flexibility
