Sage Foundation Life Cycle London to Paris 2019
July 18, 2019 | News
Pinnacle's Chairman Ken Montgomery and Managing Director James Spencer are joining forces with our European colleagues and partners at Sage to cycle the 310 miles between London and Paris from the 25th July.
The “Sage Life Cycle” initiative comes from Sage Foundation who have set a £2m fundraising challenge!
Ken and James will be cycling to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice, who offer specialist palliative care to children across Northern Ireland. A charity at which Ken is Ambassador.
Both Ken and James have a joint target of £2,000 and will be fundraising from their individual pages.
Here's how Ken is getting on with his training!
"After an initial setback with a back problem, my training is now going very well and I'm clocking up the miles.
I have just returned from The Algarve where I was training for a week and have also been involved in local sportives in Northern Ireland including the Titanic Quarter. My HotChillee seeding ride took me 183km from Ballyclare to Portstewart in the North Coast.
The great thing about participating in the Sage Life cycle is that the event provides a focus for my summer training program and provides the necessary motivation to keep it up.
The event will challenge me beyond any previous cycling experience but I am really looking forward to it!
Our cycle is to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Hospice. Most people are aware of the great work carried out by the hospices. I am an Ambassador for the Northern Ireland Hospice and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to their great work in any way I can.
Help me reach my target of £1,000 by donating here ".
